micropoetry
Monday
tumbleweed tongue
sentient
sediment
adamantine ink
here's to your shadow
yours
the way it paints
the stones
the stillness and the light
filaments
each piece each piece
bled into the blood
brushed against the bruise
kissed inside the kiss
back to the fog
of our
quiet descending we
eat
the lotus
seamless
unwise echoing love into
the clever arms of skin
we are kin
in the gutter throb and the kindness of eyes
that long curve
leads away
a
way
ploughing
this concrete acre
with our knees
Thursday
a library
of echoing instructions
lever frames
and relays
nests
of wires coalescing
into circuitry and mime
Wednesday
Jesus lost in the coin slot
long distance call
easing the eaves of an idea into being
a framework
a filigree of breath
I bleed through the barcode of my harness
Sunday
we become concrete
collected
in columns
craving symmetry
becoming
walls
Thursday
painting bricks yellow
I forge
my own path
Wednesday
through the train window
hay bales
fields
of ellipses
Sunday
always
infinitely
the miles inside me
stretch their edges
roads atomise
and I
am all around me
